He began with the Houston Astros and later PACE Concerts (now SFX entertainment). Matt has since created and produced some of the largest events in the United States including the 1986 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, The Rolling Stones, U-2 and Freedom Festival. In 1998, Matt set the all time record for a single day Christian concert event with the Newsboys in the Astrodome. Over 33,000 people attended. He has created numerous multi-day events including the Sixth Street Music and Heritage festival, CajunFest and the Houston Press Music Awards that feature 70 artists in twelve venues in 5 hours.

Widely recognized as an innovator in the Music Industry Matt has won numerous awards including Best Producer and Best New Artist in 1997 for his work in the studio and Best Producer in 2000. He current clientele includes Oklahoma State University, The United Methodist Church and Hewlett Packard.
