Overview

Home Town Sports Promotions (HTSP) was developed in 1997 as a division of the very successful direct marketing agency, Direct Marketing Network, in Houston, Texas. After years of providing promotional services to the country's smallest Division I school, Rice University Athletics (only 2600 students) asked the agency to provide the same proven direct marketing techniques used for its commercial clients to fill Rice's on-campus 70,000 seat stadium.

The total integrated marketing and attendance focused group-sales program, now known nationally as Operation SellOut, has proven itself many times since and has spawned a number of related sports marketing services. These services, when combined, create a strong platform for team/conference brand building and sponsorship inventory and sales.

Today, Home Town Sports Promotions has a marketing/sales staff of almost 50, not including the staff of Direct Marketing Network's agency production personnel that augments and actively participates as marketing team members. HTSP maintains a facility on Main Street in the heart of downtown Houston.
