Description:
Rice University, the smallest Division 1A school in the U.S., had experienced 3 decades of small crowds in a 70,000 seat stadium. This annual event, Operation Sell-Out, was created to fill the stadium for a game with Air Force Academy.
Results: Largest attendance for a non-UT or A&M opponent since 1971—53,145. Barbara Bush was the game's charity chairperson.
